Hollywood heavyweights Katie Holmes, Toby Kebbell, and Al Pacino are set to join forces in the gripping thriller ‘Entangled,’ a fresh take on the notorious kidnapping of J. Paul Getty III.

The film, which is being introduced for international sales by International Film Trust, delves into the world of Calabrian mafia boss Saro (played by both Kebbell and Pacino at different stages of his life). Saro makes a grave mistake by kidnapping the grandson of one of the wealthiest men in the world. Still, his carefully laid plans are thrown into disarray when he develops an unexpected connection with the victim’s mother, played by Holmes.

This forbidden romance emerges amidst the fraught ransom negotiations, adding a layer of psychological complexity to the story. “Entangled” promises to be a heart-stopping exploration of love, betrayal, and the desperation that can fuel violence.

Producer Michael Mammoliti, whose uncle was involved in the real-life kidnapping, has been working on a project about these events for years. Mammoliti has expressed his desire to offer a perspective that differs from previous portrayals, primarily focused on the Getty family’s perspective. “Entangled” could shed light on the motivations and human stories behind the headlines.

With a captivating premise and a stellar cast, “Entangled” is a thriller that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Filming details and a release date have yet to be announced, but excitement is already building for this unique take on a well-known historical event.
